This anime is a really confusing thing. At first I had felt like comparing it to lots of other well-known titles, like
Durarara, D.Grayman, No.6 etc. It had seemed rather boring and predictable. On the other hand its music and its graphics
made me watch this anime on and on. After ep.5 my impression began to change. The story itself began to unfold, and I
had to remember the saying: "There is more than meets the eye". These words fit here well. More than a year and a half after the airing of the ep.13 I still can't make myself watch it. Too many feels even though only spoiler-based. X_x Anyway I'm looking forward to see the movie K Missing Kings, which is a sequel to the K anime. I believe that anyone who decides to watch K needs to watch at least the first half of the series. K's problem imo is that the first several episodes are like introduction, and for a 13 ep. long story that's too much. Well, if after watching 6 or more episodes you still don't feel interested enough you'd better drop it for it is just not your cup of tea. ^^ | ||

I've watched this anime recently after reading a friend's recommendation. I'm checking it as a "completely seen" beacause for now Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon has only 2 seasons and I've seen them both. I hope that another season will be created beacause light novels seem to cover much more story than these 26 episodes and the last ep of the 2nd season has some clues to the story to be continued. ^^ Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon is a strange mix of different genres, it has too much fanservice and some jokes that are not quite decent. But the story is all about true love and true friendship, and that's why I like it a lot. Most of the characters are admirable or at least make us feel sorry for them. The world is very believable and amazing despite of being very absurd. The music is great. I love to watch how the characters fight, not only with their might and magic but through some negotiations too. ...This "review" became as messy as Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon's story in the end. XD Anyway - I like this anime and rate it quite high. | ||

This anime is hard to be judged upon. There are too many advantages and disadvantages. For me, the most disappointing thing is alternative Russia (Soviet Union). It is really disgusting and reminds me of the Nazi Germany rather than of my native country. What on Earth does this "Nash ura", the words shouted by the Soviet pilots, mean? >_< And this people act so crazy, all of them. Even the alternative USA, seemingly showing some racism towards Japanese people, is depicted less awful. And the names of all "Russian" characters are also terrible. The worst one is Ficatia or smth like that. It is too stupid. I'd be happier if my country was depicted as an Empire, like alternative Japan, not some old-fashioned (and somehow creepy) USSR. x) On the other hand, all the mecha are quite beautiful. I like their designs. It's interesting to watch Yuya mastering his piloting skills, and Yui is a great pilot already. All the main characters including Soviet girls are nice and believable. That's a good thing. The world of this anime is quite interesting too. It is very vivid and realistic despite being a post-apocalyptic reality. Though BETA doesn't seem to be nice to look at. >_< I've rated this anime somewhat average but I'm going to watch it further and my opinion might change in the future. | ||
